When Frederick George Morris was born on 27 June 1898, in Annandale, New South Wales, his father, Alfred, was 22 and his mother, Matilda, was 18. He married Dorothy May Clingan on 2 April 1921, in Sydney, New South Wales. They had four children during their marriage. He died on 1 July 1943, in Sydney, New South Wales, at the age of 45, and was buried in Botany, New South Wales.

At the age of 19 Frederick George Morris, was charged on commitment warrant with disobeying a magisterial order for £10 16s. 6d. He was arrested by Constable White, Sydney Police and the outstanding amount was paid.

Frederick George Morris married Dorothy May Clingan on 2 April 1921, in the St James Church, Sydney New South Wales, when he was 22 years old and she was 19 years old. Their marriage was conducted by the Rev. John Frazer S Russell.

Frederick was employed as a Lorry Driver and was often absent from home. Dorothy’s life with three young children aged three or less and a husband that was absent, proved difficult and family relationships and emotions were becoming tense. Things became so desperate that in November 1925 Dorothy advised the Sydney Children’s Court that she and her children had been deserted by her husband. A warrant for wife desertion was issued by the Children’s Court that led to the arrest of Frederick in December 1925. The Court ordered him to pay £2 10s. per week for the support of his wife and children, and £2 10s. costs. Three years later, in 1928, their fourth and last child Stella was born.

From the mid 1930’s Dorothy and Frederick lived apart. Dorothy reverted to her maiden name of Clingan. Frederick moved around and often went home to his parents’. Previously he had lived with his father and mother (late 1920’s). In the mid 1930’s he moved in with his widowed mother, then in the 1940’s they both moved to his uncle’s property at St. Peters.

Frederick George Morris died on 1 July 1943, in the Sacred Heart Hospice, Darlinghurst, when he was 45 years old. The cause of his death was cerebral haemorrhage and arteriosclerosis. His funeral left the private chapel of Labor Motor Funerals, 604 Crown Street, Sydney at 10 am on 3 July 1943, for the Catholic Cemetery, Botany.
