A marriage of Ron’s maternal grandparents, they lived in the inner suburbs of Sydney during their marriage.

Eliza Somers to Benjamin Hall

On 5th April 1834, with consent from the Governor, Benjamin Hall from Bristol, England married Eliza Somers from Dublin, Ireland in St. John’s Church, Parramatta, New South Wales. A marriage of the paternal grandfather of the husband of Ron’s great grandmother.

Jane Price to Henry Smith

On 15th April 1833 in Islington, Middlesex, England Henry Smith married Jane Price daughter of James Partridge Price and Mary Walker of England. A marriage of Ron’s 3rd great grandparents, they moved from England to Australia in 1857.

Mary Fallside to David Williamson

On 16th April 1852 in Scotland, David Williamson son of James and Margaret Williamson of Scotland married Mary Fallside daughter of Thomas Fallside and Rachel Downie of Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. A marriage of Colleen’s 2nd great grandparents, they lived their entire lives in Scotland.

Mary Brough to Thomas Rutter

In April 1696 at Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England, Thomas Rutter son of John and Ann Rutter of Lincolnshire married Mary Brough. A marriage of Colleen’s 7th great grandparents, they lived their entire lives in England.

On 18th April 1925 at Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia, Stanley Joseph Cleary son of John Cleary and Bridget Flanagan of Parramatta married Francis Elizabeth Brennan daughter of Talbot Arthur Brennan and Amy Levina Lucy Hough of Parramatta. A marriage of Colleen’s 1st great uncle and aunt, they lived their entire lives in Parramatta and surrounding areas.

On 26th April 2003 at Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia, Peter Stuart Morris son of Ronald William Morris and Colleen Margaret Williamson of Leura married Nicole Elspeth Miller of the Blue Mountains. A marriage of Ron & Colleen’s son and daughter-in-law, they lived in Bathurst following their marriage.

On 30th April 1918 at The Parsonage, Uralla, New South Wales, Australia, Ralph Richmond Johnston son of David and Margaret Jane Johnston of Tenterfield married Ruby Norma Randall daughter of Edward Emanuel and Isabella Marion Randall of Uralla. A marriage of Colleen’s maternal grandparents.


News of Past Deaths

The Death of our ancestors are not forgotten, we remember them each month on the anniversary of their death.


Horace died at the Western Front on 2 April 1917

Horace Victor Roberts

In fondest memory of Horace Victor Roberts, Ron’s 1st cousin twice removed, who passed away on the Western Front in France on 2nd April 1917. He was killed in action and has no known grave. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
