All of our ancestors originally came to Australia by ship. They travelled from various countries including England, France, Ireland and Scotland to settle in Australia.

Amele, known as Amiel Morris, a native of Lyon, Rhône, Rhône-Alpes,France arrived aboard the French Ship of War 'Le Rhin' in 1845.
Clarissa Fanny Best (nee Smith) became Amiel's partner in 1874 and they had four children.
Reginald George Williamson, a native of Newhills, Aberdeen, Scotland arrived aboard the ship 'Otway' in 1909.

John Alexander Johnston and his wife Mary Crawford, were natives of Fermanagh, Ireland. They were married in Ireland in 1822 and had ten children.
The family of John and Mary arrived aboard the ship "Alfred" from Ireland to New South Wales in 1860.
